I wanted to introduce the new Christian Dior 2011 Cruise Collection. It’s inspired by La Nouvelle Vague (French New Wave). All the candy colors used make this collection so feminine and vibrant, I simply love it! My favorites are the super sexy mini dresses…very sixties-chic. The Galliano romance couture gowns are also very exquisite; with corset shaped tops and the flow of beautiful silk organza beneath. Adorable!

Do you want to kick it up a notch on your special day by having a more lounge, night club-style atmosphere at your wedding? Add some hip lounge rental furniture to your reception and use the area for both the cocktail hour and later in the evening for your guests to relax as they dance the night away. Rental companies now provide some pretty sleek pieces of furniture for weddings such as: couches, ottomans, benches/banquettes, chaises, daybeds, coffee tables, end tables, area rugs, throw pillows, cushions and more! Bring the indoors out with an outdoor lounge area; it’s unexpected to see pieces of indoor furniture outdoors and will make for a more memorable event. Have some outdoor heaters to make your guests comfortable and add candles, torches or chandeliers to get that dim, mood lighting ambiance. You can also choose to have your lounge area tented or inside the reception hall right next to the dance floor, the perfect spot for your guests to make conversation and mingle with each other.

Here’s my second bridal ensemble under $500, this time for the bohemian bride. This boho style bridal look has earthy tones with a copper and peach color scheme. My initial inspiration was the DKNYC Empire Waist Dress which reminds me of Aida Coronado’s Eco Wedding Collection that I really like. Today I came across these unique jeweled bracelets from Tied Up Memories via Etsy and I fell in love with all of them! These bangels remind me of pretty little clusters of vintage brooches, but you get to wear them on your wrist! They are all made out of antique brass hinged cuffs, vintage charms, rhinestones, gemstones and jewels, with adorable designs. Such great finds all in one bracelet. Their barrette collection is also super cute! Any of these beautiful pieces would make a great gift for your bridesmaids or for yourself as a unique piece to complete your bridal ensemble. They are just my style with their whimsical and shabby chic flair!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. We’re starting the week out a little late, but here’s a sweet wedding-related treat sure to tickle your social networking fancy. I came across it at the Dog ‘N Bird Artful Wedding blog, and thought it was a fun one to share.
Confectioner I Am Baker created these hi-tech cookies for Beth’s bachelorette party…on a whim! That’s right, completely off the cuff as a surprise for her client, without being asked to. I’m assuming that Beth and her fiance Scott are Facebook fans, and if so I’m sure they…liked…these cookies.
Such great geeky fun…
